DO NOT USE Verizon Business! The current year is 2015. Websites and technology has been an integral part of business for at LEAST 20 years now. Yet this year, in setting up a Verizon Business SIP / VOIP line has been one of the most challenging, frustrating, and annoying processes I have dealt with in a long time.
First – their “Resources” or “FAQs” are ALMOST useless. They refer to other processes, but don’t link to those processes. And when you search for those processes or words in the original article – that’s the ONLY article it finds.
Second – their help-less desk is offshore, which means difficult to understand english, reading off scripts, and generally not helpful until you fight through their auto-pilot brain.
Lastely, Verizon has THE WORST and most confusing “portal” for the business services! The text on the pages is antiquated and confusing; status and messages are sometimes completely wrong (when the helpless desk agent tells you to IGNORE what it says, because the feature IS enabled, that’s REALLY bad!); the website looks like the first ones I wrote in 1994.
I cannot stress enough – do NOT use Verizon Business (and probably their consumer service either!) You’ll be frustrated and angry.
